Pre Extinct

Many liked to sing
their lives felt good
if sometimes sad
and they the people
were usually good
if sometimes mad,
but way too many
and much too much
of their good thing
turned it so bad
they lost their touch
and ran out of luck
fallen to brooding
no more to be had
from planetary muck
drought storm and flood
on virtually exploding
sludge trash and junk
germy waters toxic mud
so rank with foreboding
they were high or drunk.
