Extinct

For many years
we had a choice
and the technology
to safely recycle
our growing tons
of toxic wastes
and peacefully reduce
our billions population.
Now feverish Nature
recycles the human race
with monster storms,
multiple tornadoes,
melting glaciers and
ice caps flooding
onto rising seashores
now adjoined by
continental drought,
raging forest fires,
dry lakes and river beds,
total crop failures
and mass starvation,
sending us the way
of the dinosaurs.
