ECOCIDE

Like seven billion overbreeding rats
we ignore the growing mass of our pollution
though it so befouls this global environment,
weather systems now feverishly overheated
in super storm reflex to our spreading tons
of garbage, sludge, junk, smoke and fumes,
seasons go extreme in chaos and collapse
starving all who feed every day,
thus ending our life on Earth
as plants, animals, insects,
germs and bacteria
quickly fade away.
