BEHOLD

a planet where life
is forced by death
to devour and grow
urgently reproducing
to conquer and exploit,
invent and improve,
corrupt and profiteer
and stupidly waste,
pollute and degenerate
its own irreplaceable
biospheric treasure,
tossing the eons
of its fragile evolution
to the scheming interplay
of hateful opposites
all raging and battling
against their own
collective reality
by advancing their science
for the commercial success
and military triumph
of high-tech supremacy
and the final resolution
of holocaust, ecocide
and self-extinction.
