The Sandman Part 2

When the Sandman would have Raven bloodied and defeated, Tyler would jump in the ring and stand between his father and the World Heavyweight champion. Raven, however, had announced he needed a personal break so ECW decreed that Stevie Richards would defend the belt for Raven. He won the ECW World Heavyweight championship for a third time.The celebration wouldn't even last a few hours, as Lori Fullington announced that Raven had taken Tyler with her blessing to Europe. The Sandman would go on to have a successful series of championship defenses , but on October 29, 1996, Tyler showed up in the ECW Arena and embraced his father after one such defense. The Sandman was overjoyed to see his son, but was blindsided by Raven from behind as Tyler made Raven's trademark crucifix. Then to settle this the two met in a barbed wire match.The Sandman beat every inch of pride out of him but fell short.At "Cyberslam '97" Raven and Brian Lee faced Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk. Raven had decreed that if Funk, who was in heavy pursuit of a final World Heavyweight championship, could defeat him, he would gain a championship match at ECW's first Pay-Per-View "Barely Legal." Brian Lee nearly brutally attacked Funk and Tommy Dreamer was soon left alone.Enter Stevie Richards as he attempted to rescue Dreamer, the onslaught was too much for him. Tyler and Lori Fullington had come to the ring with Richards to show their solidarity against Raven and Lori tried to stop Raven. He struck her down. Tyler Fullington watched in horror, and knew immediately what he had to do. He ran to the ECW Locker room.

Minutes later, the Sandman entered the ECW Arena, his son on his shoulders holding the Singapore Cane proudly above his head. The Sandman hit the ring, destroyed Brian Lee and Raven, and pinned the World Heavyweight champion.His relationship with Tyler was firmly repaired.After ECWs first PPV Barely Legal Rob Van Dam and SABU Defected from ECW in the summer of 1997 they went on a rampage,injuring everyone in site including sandman .They broke his knee leaving Tommy Dreamer alone to fend against the onslaught of RVD,SABU and Jerry Lawler.Then out of nowhere in the ECW arena as the 3 were trying to kill dreamer the lights went out , and in the ring was standing the King Of Extreme himself,THE SANDMAN HAD RETURNED and ran all 3 off

At Hardcore Heaven 97,he cost SABU his ECW world title in a 3 way against Shane Douglas and Terry Funk, this spawned into a fued that seen them beat the HELL out of each other into the fall months, they ingaged in in a TABLES AND LADDERS match at the November to Remember 97 PPV but that wasnt enough.Through all of this another even sicker match was booked that ended up to be probaly the most bloody, violent match in the history of ECW in January of 1998, THE STAIRWAY TO HELL barbed wire match, sandman won that one by breaking the jaw of SABU in a match that nearly ended both mens carrer but the fued ended at the 1998 Living Dangerously PPV when SABU beat him in his speacialty match , Dueling Canes.

He then Joined Tommy Dreamer and Spike Dudley in a fued with the Dudley Boys,the fued started as the then 4 time world tag champ Dudleys wanted to prove themselves as the most hardcore residents of ECW.They lured Dreamer and Sandman into a match against them in Buffalo NY,they attacked them before the bell and hit the Dudley Death Drop(3D)and sent the Sandman out , the 2 won a big victory over the dudleys at the WRESTLEPOOLOZA 98 PPV in may but when sandman took off to recooparate from the neck injury , the dudleys struck again when they broke the neck of Beulah,but as always, Dreamer, SANDMAN and Spike Dudley beat all 3 DUDLEY BOYZ half to death in the DUDLEYVILLE STREET FIGHT that was the main event at probaly ECWs best ppv ever HEATWAVE 98.Then came the fued that led to his departure from ECW, he got into a bitter fued with young upstart, Justin Credible wanted to be the biggest thing in ECW singled out The Sandman, the fued only lasted 3 months but because of SANDMAN s contract problems with ECW management the fued was blown off, he was then offerd a HUGE contract by the WCW, seeking a change he left ECW in september of 98.WCW in there infinite wisdom made him sit out over 6 months befire they decided to put Sandman in a angle, they renamed him Hardcore Hak.

Fullington said himself that Hak was The Sandman without the beer and cigarette, WCW barely let him by with the cane though.Basically the first night they sent him out wrapped in fake barbed wire and had him call out Bam Bam Bigelow.Knowing the gimmick was stupid Fullington tried every way in the world to change it but WCW wouldnt budge.Hak was used as the fall guy for jabronies like Brian Knobbs and to make Goldberg and Kevin Nash look good.It was obvious even when they acted like they were gonna push him into the WCW hardcore title scene that they had no real plans for him.So at Bash The Beach 99 just to have something for him and there hardcore division to do they set them all in a Junkyard Match,a match that took place in a junkyard and u had to escape to win.Hak was a shoe in to win the match and was actually supposed to win but when he nearly tore his shoulder joint out of the socket doing and asai moonsault off a car onto Mikey Whipwreck.WCW officals decided that they had no further use for him, and eriely enough they came to this decision the same day that Raven walked out at Nitro.2 days later WCW legaly let Hak go.So while he was rehabbing his shoulder the possibltiy of The Sandman returing to ECW seemed bleak.Paul Heyman was still mad as hell at him for leaving the way he did back in september of 98 and stated publicly he wasnt welcome back in ECW.What now, by october Sandman was ready to go back to work somwhere anywhere.The call came down and ECW history was about to be made again.On Saturday night October the 27th (i think)The Impact Players challenged Tommy Dreamer and Raven for the world tag team titles.Using RHINO as a insurance policy they though they were basically guaranteed the win, THINK AGAIN.As soon as both me hit there finshes at the same time on Dreamer and Raven the lights went out.And usually when the lights go out in the ECW arena all hell is about to break loose.The Lights came back up and there he was in all his beer swilling,cane swining ,cigarete smoking glory.EXIT HARDCORE HACK RE ENTER THE SANDMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ECW arena crowd went crazy you would have thought that the pope would have walked into the ECW arena,metallicas Enter Sandman Blared over the arena speakers once again as Sandman came in and cleaned house actually shattering his cane over the head of RHINO.The celebration was on, Sandman and Dreamer drank a beer toghether in the middle of the ring,but what about Raven?? Well he wasnt all that happy about his return, and a fight ensued.Raven backed down from the Sandman and left the ring.But somehow they all agreed to team up in a 6 man tag against The Impact Players and RHINO at the November To Remember 99 PPV.The match was your typical brawl but Raven cost the Sandman his revenge on Justin Credible by hitting him with Sandmans own Cane to help Credible get the win.The Sandman/Raven war was on again but this time with Tommy Dreamer,The Impact Players and RHINO involved, when Sandman and Raven would tear into each other it would eithe be broken up by dreamer or either The Impact Players or RHINO would interfeere.Sandman would go on to get his revenge on Justin Credible on TNN and RAVEN in the ECW arena with Tommy Dreamer as the special guest Reffere,the match was ultra violent and seen the return of Sandmans estranged wife Peaches.But one man remained, The rookie monster RHINO.Rhino dogged Sandman at every turn , every cahnce he would get he would gore Sandman through a table or just taunt the EXTREME ICON further.FInally the 2 were set to meet at Guilty as Charged 2000, but due to family problems that were beyond his control Sandman was unable to attend.So RHINO took his agression out on the legendary Americain Dream Dusty Rhodes.Nobody was sure if and when the Sandman would return, although he would pop up at anytime anywhere.But Rhino wouldnt stop he finally alligned himself with Cyrus and the network after TNN stripped a injured Rob Van Dam of the world tv title,Rhino became TNNs handpicked successor for RVD.Cyrus and Rhino would try to take over ECW and make them less extreme.Finally the man that embodied everything ECW stands for came back fulltime and dealt with Rhino and The network.By Beatint Tajiri at the ECW arena he qualified himself for a match with RHINO at Living Dangeroulsy 2000 in the TV title tournament.But RHINO and Corino had other plans, by taunting The Sandmans wife,Lori Fullington A.K.A Peaches,to she would get into a physical altercation with Corino and RHINO.They set her up and GORED her through a table as Helpless Sandman his now 13 year old son tyler and his sister watched in horror.Now we seen The Sandman of old come out he was severly pissed after escorting his wife to the hospital he came back and cost RHINO and the network the TV title by helping Super Crazy win.But its far from over.
