The carrer of this hardcore chair swinging freak began in his home town of Nutley NJ. Mahoneys dream was becoming a wrestler so he followed his dream while in high school and went to train in Larry Sharpes Monster Factory secretly,after a couple of months he debuted in his first pro match at the age of 15 under a mask.While finishing his traning he and freind Chris Candido would actually rent the ring from shrape in the summer and hold shows in a local park not only to make money but to work out when they couldnt train with sharpe,balls was learning bleeding even back then too.But when competeing in the finals of a high school ameture wrestling tourny that would have qualifed him for nationals,he acccidentaly sinched in on an opponent and broke his back.When the reffere chastised him for it he punched the ref in the face and then kicked anothe offical in the well BALLS!!!!! After this incident he was banned for life from ever competeing in a sanctioned New Jersy State wrestling event.
This lead to Balls going into pro wrestling full time.He started his full time carrer under the name of Abubaden Singh wrestling on the new york/new jersy indy circut.This seen him develope a penchant for violent wrestling teaming with him singh brotheres in a violent fued against the oringal mad man from the sudan Abdulah The Butcher that seen him become one of the few men to but the legendary madman in the hospital by blowing a fireball into his face so big he caught abby on fire!!!!!!.But he didnt catch a break till he signed with Jim Cornettes Smokey Mountain Wrestling in 1994 under the name Boo Bradely.He teamed with child hood freind Chris Candido to moderate success but the relationship went sour as candido became abusive of the lovable bradely began to use him to do his dirty work in his fued with Gangstas until Cactus Jack came to Smokey Mountain.Seeing favor in Boo,Cactus enligtend him to what Candido was doing and both Cactus and Boo were attacked by Candido and Brian Lee they even went as far as killing Boos cat.The war was on and Cactus Jack helped Boo Bradley avenge the death of his cat Bobo and ridding SMW of Candido,Tammy Sytch and Brian Lee.But after Cactus left, bradely was on his own in a fued with the Gangstas.Bradely found a partner in his war in Tracey Smothers and they fueded for the better part of 95 with them until The Gangstas upbruptly left SMW for ECW.Shortly after this SMW folded due to financial difficulties.
It was now June of 1996,and rickner was without a job,after kicking around the indys for a while, The WWF gave him a try out in a dark match before a RAW taping.They found imedalte favor with him,seeing his willing ness to take bumps,but the gimmick they gave him was well for a lack of better words STUPID.They suited him up in a Santa Claus suit since it was near christmas time and named him Santa Xlaus,a demented mall santa that would attack anybody at any time.The Gimmick lasted 1 month since the holidays were over they couldnt find a gimmick or storyline to put him in, they let him go in January of 97 , and ECW was happy to pick him up.Another Name change of course would be the first thing to happen upon his entracne into ECW but this one stuck.Balls Mahoney debuted in the ECW arena at House Party 97 by pinning Lance Storm.The hardcore chair swingin freak was born after a brutal match with resident ICON The Sandman when he hit Sandman so hard with a chair that he knocked the 3 time world champion out cold.A series of matches between the 2 done nothing but cause a greater deal of respect betweeen them so much that they became tag team partners to challenge The Dudley Boys.This leading to the most violent fued of his carrer, Balls And Sandman beat the Dudleys in a non title match in Queens Ny but The Sandman was unable to help Balls cause he was off with Tommy Dreamer defending ECW in there ECW vs USWA war , enter Axl Rotten.
Axl had just returned to ECW from a tour of japan with Big Japan Pro Wrestling.There equal hatred for The Dudleys brought them togheter the fued was on,as they beat every challenger put in front of them to get a shot at the belts,and every time they would get close the Dudleys jumped them.But after Kronus and New Jack beat the dudley boys for the belt ,The FBI threw there hats in the ring, leading to probably the most violent match in the history of ECW over the tag belts.A 4 way dance of death at the November To Remember,Balls and Axl were the favorties going in but there were to many men in the match after the same thing as The FBI won the match as Balls and Axl elminated the Dudleys right after they eleminated New jack and Kronus, The FBI would become the new thorn in the side of The Hardocre Chair swinging freaks,dogging them even after The FBI lost the belts to Lance Storm and Chris Candido.The Fued with The FBI didnt last long.AS they set there sites on Candido and Storm, they beat them in a slew of non title matches until they got there shot at Wrestleplooza 98.But it wasnt there time,as Candido and Storm barley walked out of the PPV with the belts.
Masato Tanaka had came over to ECW from the FMW promotion in japan.The man that japanese fans had labled indistructable wanted a challenge, and he got one in the form of Balls Mahoney.The 2 nearly killed each other with chair, over 25 chair shots to each others head and niether one was willing to go down,the 2 had a slew of matches to see who was the toughest until one night capitalizing on the fact that Axl Rotten was in the hospital with liver problems,The Dudleys jumped both men, sending them to the hospital with mild concussions and nearly breaking tanakas neck with 3D.The match was signed against doctors orders for the tag belts at the 1998 November To Remember PPV.The match was absolutely brutal, and it seen the 2 teams face of in the most brutal exchange of Dueling Chairs ever seen ,but after Rvd and SABU intrefeerd and put the dudleys through a table , balls hit the nutcracker suite on D-Von for the win.But the win was short lived as the next week in Queens NY The Dudleys took the belts back in controversal fashion.
So what now,a new year had started and Axl Rotten finally came back out of the hospital and after waiting for a while while The Duds fued with RVD and SABU over the belt, they made another run,but again because of problems beyond his control Balls lost his tag partner, Axl Rotten started having troubles with the front office in ECW and this left Mahoney alone to fend of The Dudleys in a fued that seen them put Balls though a flaming table in Chicago before Axls problem.Solution: Little Spike Dudley,Spike helped Balls fend off the Dudleys in there hardcore war for the tag belts.They fought in a series of Flaming Table Thumbtack Death Matches that seen The Dudleys get the upper hand in most of the matches.But at Heatwave 99 Balls and Spike shocked the world by beating the Dudleys for the ECW World Tag Team Titles in a Extreme Death match,but were powerbombed through a Flaming Table for there troubles and had to be bailed out by a returning New Jack.The Dudleys fought back when they took the belts back in Cincinatti OH,in turn Balls and Spike won the belts back from the Dudleys in Wilkes Barre Pa, The final show down was set for the first TNN taping for ECW at the Madhouse of Extreme in Queens ,Balls and Spike put up a good fight but were defeated by The Dudleys who lost the belts to the unlikely Team of Tommy Dreamer and Raven on there way out of ECW into the WWF.
With the Dudleys gone and Axl back they had a new problem, DA BALDIES.A new street gang that had invaded ECW, starting a blood fued with Balls,Axl and New Jack after attacking all 3 of them in a match between the 3 that seen the use of every shrp object known to man.The 3 hardcore warriors banded togheter to get rid of the baldies at The November To Remember 99.Balls and Axl run Vito the Skull and News of the group out of ECW after the November the Remember PPV.But then it happend again,Axl Rotten again had a big argument with ECW owner Paul Heyman and this time it caused him to be fired,Balls Mahoney and New Jack were now left alone to fend off all 3 baldies.At the start of this year Balls and New Jack continue to fight the baldies anywhere and everywhere, Balls made history on March 3rd 2000 in Asbury Park NJ when he and Grimes of the Baldies participated in the first ever Barbed Wire Explosive Board match, but the war if Far from over.
