Yes, I know, this stuff is sorta old....but we had a much bigger weather event a few months ago, causing millions of dollars of damage; one of the biggest Nor'Easter's ever (bigger than all hurricanes, tropical storms, ect., that we have had here since the Ash Wednesday storm of 1962) in along time.....tides up to 8 feet above normal. The city of Hampton, where I live was declared a state of emergency; parts of the city got REALLY flooded. I hope to have pics of the damage soon, as well as other stuff besides just weather!
On August 6th, 1997, Numerous waterspouts were sited across Hampton Roads, Particularly in the James River (the James River Bridge is Located on the right on the top picture), below are pictures taken from the Digital City Hampton Roads web site--Courtesy of WAVY-TV 10.
