Currently RETIRED. I was in later assignments a Sleep Center Implementation Manager for Sentara Health Systems and a Project Manager and Classroom Designer for TRADOC Enterprise Classroom Program at Fort Eustis VA. Designed, managed and troubleshot implementation of audio / video applications and technology for more than 4,000 US Army classrooms in multiple locations. Provided onsite and remote Project Management via computer networks, telephone and SharePoint. Knowledge Management Engineer; designed/implemented database for more than 1500 project binders.

Formerly the Equipment Enrollment Specialist for Access Sciences Corporation on a US Coast Guard Maximo project, Metrics Analyst for Tri Star Engineering and SPAWAR PMW240.

Associate (2002 - 2010) for the premier consulting firm, Booz Allen, Hamilton, Inc. Specialized in the Army Workload and Performance System (AWPS) for Base Operations (BASOPS). Was Lead IE responsible for BASOPS training, technical and client support. Documented tests & validation procedures of the AWPS SAP interfaces. Wrote BASOPS support documentation and checklists. Assembled, edited, and submitted technical activity reports provided by AWPS IE team members. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Left Civil Service in April 2002, where I advised Public Works Center Norfolk and Regional Engineers for 20 years on business matters, Information Technology (IT) and Site Transitions. Administered annual operating plans, financial analyses, business case analyses, facility justifications, organization charts, position descriptions, standards of service, memorandums of agreement, marketing plans and performance indicators. Facilitated teams for business process reengineering, quality, benchmarking and Commercial Activities studies. Developed Standard Operating Procedures for department methods, information flow, material and equipment. Developed information technology help desk and security operations, legacy system replacements, MAXIMO performance, palmtop computer applications, web and active server pages, database integration and special projects. Developed and presented communications, e.g., script notes, briefings, graphics, e-mails, handouts, handbooks, team charters, news articles. Served as PWC representative to many local, regional and international information technology teams. Was on an international team that studied NAVFAC Human Resource and Administration processes.

Was an Industrial Engineer in PWC's Information Resources Management Department and a recognized authority at Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, VA on information technology applications, facilities and maintenance management, performance measurement, human resources systems, benchmarking , process flow charts and various computer software programs. Was also a facilitator and teacher of process modeling, benchmarking, and implementation techniques as a part of PWC's Business Process Improvement (BPR) and Commercial Activities (CA) programs. Graduated from Georgia Tech in 1968 in Industrial Engineering and have held managerial and consulting positions in private industry and for the Navy , Army, Air Force and Coast Guard. Joined PWC Norfolk in 1992. Received a Master of Business Administration degree from Old Dominion University (ODU) in 1995. Earned a NASCE Webmaster Certificate from Florida Tech in 2000. Was in the NAVFAC Leadership Development Initiative program and took Human Resources Development masters level courses through George Washington university.

Jo Anne and I had been married 51 years before her passing (we were a 1965 computer dates; yes there were computers back then [there were about two computers in the city of Atlanta in 1965 and I operated one of them at Georgia Tech]. One of my first computer languages was "Machine Language" with just zeroes and ones, then ALGOL, FORTRAN and Basic. I was one of the original "PowerPoint" Super Users, with one of the first Internet licenses and eMail accounts in Virginia Beach / Norfolk VA). We have two daughters, both Old Dominion University graduates, two grand sons and three grand daughters.
