A Page From The Book Of My Life

Greetings and welcome to my webpage. My name is Cheryl Wiggins and I want to share with EVERYONE how proud I am to be a PHA Eastern Star. My initiation into the Order took place in May 1998. Although I'm a native New Yorker (Brooklyn), my home is now Norfolk, VA. My chapter is Queen Esther-New Thomas Wheaton No. 2 (formerly Wheaton No. 73), located in Norfolk, VA. The lessons, teachings, and works of the Order have greatly impressed me. The lessons of the Order are based upon the Holy Scriptures, its teachings are moral, and its works are very inspirational. With these vital tools in hand, I am eager to learn all that I can to successfully fulfill my duties and responsibilities as a dedicated and loyal member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
The teachings, lessons and works that I have learned and experienced thus far, and continue to learn, I will utilize throughout life. I am honored to be a PHA Eastern Star, but more importantly, a very ACTIVE PHA Eastern Star. My other affiliations include: Loyal Lady, John Barnes Assembly No. 8, Order of the Golden Circle (Auxiliary to the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, PHA); Daughter, IBPOEW (Elks), PHA; Secretary, Ladies of the Circle of Perfection, PHA; member, Phyllis Chapter, an international society of Eastern Stars, PHA (masonic research organization); Youth Advisor, Hope-Kelley No. 7 Youth Department, OES, PHA; and an Auditor for the State Youth Council for Virginia. Most recently, I was crowned Fish Bowl Queen 2000-2001 for Arabia Temple No. 12, AEAONMS, PHA, Portsmouth, VA.
A very special thanks is extended to Bro. Isaac M. Reid, Grand Secretary of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the State of New York, who helped me knock on the right door. A motto that I have adopted: "ONCE A STAR, ALWAYS A STAR." "When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy." Matt. 2:10.
