Nov. 29 Troop Meeting

Dec. 6 Troop Meeting/Elections
Junior Leader Elections

Starting at the December 6th Troop meeting the Troop will elect it's own Junior Leaders to run the Troop for the next six months. Scouts will have to decide who will be the best Scout to serve as Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leader(s).
These Scouts [elected Leaders] form the Patrol Leader's Council. The PLC will meet occassionally to vote on the Troop calendar, what activities the Troop will be doing, which merit badges to work on, where to go camping and hiking, etc. They can introduce ideas to help make the Troop better.
So you see, your vote will be important. Only the best Scouts should hold these positions. Keep in mind as well that each of you will need to seve in a Troop Junior Leader position to advance in rank. The Troop is yours, let's make it GREAT!

Elf War Flag Football

December 10

Kyle of the Shoshoni Patrol has created a Troop Tradition for the month of December, the ELF WAR! That's right, in the happy spirit of the holidays the Americans and Shoshoni patrols will battle on the grid iron in this winter's second flag football game.

The Americans are eager to win their second Troop game to pave a broad quick path into history as the Troop's first dominant patrol. The only obstacle in their way is the patrol that by far outperformed them in the Gobble Gobble Bowl in November, but made one costly mistake that led to the Americans winning touchdown.

The Shoshoni, led by Elf War creator and Gobble Gobble Bowl MVP Kyle, hope to even the grid iron score at one game a piece. The Shoshoni came back from a two score deficit in the last game and feel that they have a very good chance to win this next game. If Forrest can run another 45+ yards and Kyle can catch another 8 passes the Americans will be in BIG trouble.

Things to watch for...

Expect Kyle to make a greater performance as a wide receiver this game as he seeks his first win.

Forrest can run and he will. He'll set a new rushing record. Can we say "MVP"?

Cody only caught one pass in the Gobble Gobble. If he can get open the Americans will have a chance.

If Clint is healthy, he'll have the energy to add the missing piece to the Shoshoni victory.

SPL Josh will have to lead his patrol in performance and spirit if he wants to win again. The Shoshoni will likely get a quick lead this time and if Josh can keep the Americans from getting upset, they'll have a chance for a comeback win.

Both Quarterbacks will have to complete more than 38% of their passes to give their teams a solid chance to claim victory. Rain was a problem in the Gobble Gobble. Will snow be better?
