Bruins Playing Dead

The Boston Bruins knew they would need a victory to stay comfortably on top of the East. They lost 5-4 to New Jersey. Not only did Boston lose their third in a row, but with the loss combined with a Philly tie, they are now tied 1-2 atop the East. Andrei Kovalenko got a point and was a plus 3, while the Devils Scott Niedermayer got 3 points and was a plus 2. The Flyers moved into a tie for first with this tie against Carolina, 2-2.
