11: It's only been a couple of days since I updated here
last, but it's spring break and I had another day off,
so I worked on the page again today. I really didn't
accomplish much today on the page, but I did get the
Cars
started. I would have loved getting more done with it,
but I spent all day looking for logos. I have a plethora of
new pictures of the Porsche, so I will be posting them soon.
I'll work more on that next time along with the GTO.
I don't have but a few GTO pictures, so I can't
really do a lot on it. Other new
stuff in my life includes almost an entire paycheck
unfortunatly being spent on stupid stuff for my car and
having a couple days off. Yesterday I took a friend
snowboarding and I heard crap about it all day because
firstly I was on a snowboard..I guess that's against
the rules :-), and for not working. I'm sure I'll hear more
about it yesterday. I also spent $140 on two new door
handles for the Porsche because they both broke this week.
For the past couple days I've had to get in my car by
opening the passenger side door first then opening the
driver side door from the inside. I tried that later on
today, and the passenger side door handle broke also, so
I had to get in through the rear hatch. I'm sure it
looked crazy. It's fit time for the old beast and I'm not
positive my pocketbook can afford it. I am, however, ever
getting closer to buying a different car, so I only have to
put up with it for a short little while longer. That's
about all I have for now. Hasta Luego. -Derrick

8: Well time to update again, I guess. Not much new
has been happening. I'm on Spring Break right now so I have
a few days to work on stuff. I spent some time this
morning working on the Porsche. I ordered a new shift boot
support frame because the one in it has been broken for
about 4 years. I also fixed the passenger door panel that
was broken. The last thing I did was work on getting rid of
some rust. I really hope that I can get rid of the rust on
that car. It's tough. I still need to fix the speedometer,
e-brake, and the outer door handle on the driver side.
I swear it's a never ending project. As far as
new stuff for the webpage I don't have a lot of new stuff to
update you on. I finished my Online
Resume,
so you can go check that out. I will continue to update it
as I see fit, but for now it is current. I do plan on
starting on some of the other pages very soon. I took
some pictures of the Porsche a while back, and I'm finally
getting them developed, so I'll be able to build my car
pages. I also noticed that this page is best viewed in
Microsoft Internet Exploer; the page kind of freaks out in
older versions of Netscape Navigator. I guess that is about
all I have to talk about for now. Take care, and have a
wonderful day. -Derrick
February
19: Ha, hasn't it been just the longest time since I've
done anything new here? It has! Well I really do not have
much of update to update you on, but I did do a little work.
By popular demand, I posted some very old pictures of me and
some friends. I mean this is some really old stuff. I really
didn't even work on the picture page the way I wanted mainly
because I'm at the apartment working on Russell's computer
that doesn't have any webpage software. It's been a really
long time since I've tried working on a page in raw HTML,
and I'm really rusty at it, so yeah, I didn't do a whole
lot. What I did, was simply put the link to the old picture
page I had on my Geocities site. If you click on the
Pictures
link in the left hand frame, it will take you to my old
picture page and a bunch of links from my old site. You can
check out the site as much as you want, but the majority of
the links are dead, as I never did complete the page the way
I wanted to. If you do go there, just remember that most of
that stuff is extremely old; so just like old dynamite, it
might explode on you at any random moment...j/k. I hope you
enjoy the pictures. I promise I will get back to you soon
and I will put a real pictures page on with a few, more
recent, pictures. Derrick
December
12: It's been quite a while since I've worked on here,
but I've really wanted to. I've been very busy with school
and trying to tie things up. Today was the last day of
finals and now I have about a 3 week break. Most of the time
during the break I'll be up to Brianhead working. This
semseter went pretty good for the most part. I know I got
A's in 3 of my classes so far, but the other grades haven't
been posted yet. I really wanted Straight A's, but I'm
pretty sure I won't after my math class. It should be pretty
close whether or not I get to keep my scholarship, so I
guess we'll have to see. I guess if I don't get to keep it,
there isn't much I can do about it. I tried and that's about
the best I've got in me. Today my roomates and I went and
signed the contract to a new apartment. This new place seems
pretty nice. It's a little farther away from campus, but I
think it will be a lot more fun. I am not looking forward to
cleaning out the old place though. I finally got my car up
and running. I think this is new since the last update,
anyway. It actually runs good. I got the electrical problem
fixed too (at least I think). It only cost $90 and a couple
hours to buy and put in the new alternator. The funny thing
is, however, that the day after I got that fixed, my
speedometer quit me. I think fixing my car is a never ending
process. As for updates of the site, not much is new, but I
have added a little. I got my "Online
Resume"
page started with my work history. I plan on adding more to
it, but I just ran out of time tonight. That's about all I
have for now. Until Next time..... Derrick
November
2: There isn't much to say as far as updates for today.
I got the "About
Me"
page up and going just for all of you dying to get to know
me, and trust me, I know that there are a lot of you.
J/K Anyway, go there and find out some info on me, and if
you want to send the survey to a friend via e-mail, go ahead
and copy & paste it to your e-mail and put your
information in there. Just for your information, I didn't
write the survey. I copied it from what somebody sent
me a while back and replaced it with my information.
I guess that's all the new stuff I have for the
page. As far as
everyday life stuff goes, I am overly frustrated with
my car. For the past few weeks it has spent more time being
broken down than running. It seems as though the more time I
spend fixing it, the more it breaks down. It really needs to
be torn apart and restored from the ground up, but that is
kind of difficult to do since it is the only car I have
besides the GTO which is nowhere near running right now.
Hopefully I'll have the money to go buy a car here soon so I
can park the Porsche and get it ready for restoration
again. Derrick
This past
week was pretty nice considering it was only a 4 day week.
It had been a long time since our last short week, so it was
extremely nice. Our next break will be Thanksgiving break at
the end of November. I auditioned for the SUU basketball
pep-band and made it this past week. We get paid $20 to play
at each game, so that will be nice. I haven't had any income
for a little over a month now and it isn't too much fun,
especially since I'm trying to save up to buy a car.
I'm
continually trying to make this page bigger and better. I
have the "Previous
Updates"
page up and running, so you can see what I have done in the
past. I'm looking forward to adding the other pages soon.
I'm going to try to take some pictures at band practice next
week with the Dean Cains, our band. When I get some
pictures, I'll work on that page, and explain exactly who we
are. That's all I have so far. Derrick
October 26: Well, it's almost a week since my last
update, so I figure it's about time to update. I recently
found out that my old font wasn't working on other computers
so I had to change it to what it is now. I liked the other
font better, but this will have to do it you can see it on
your computer.
