My '77 924 was equipped with a 2.0 Liter Audi engine that is rated at 95 bhp. Although it doesn't have much power, it still seems to do alright. This engine has seen many days, and has somewhere around 300,000 miles on it. Depsite the miles on it, it seems to still run good. It doesn't have the greatest oil pressure, and I have to run 20-50 oil in it during the summer months. I have another engine from my '79 parts car that produces 110 bhp stock. I plan on doing some modifications to it when I put it in the car, but I will talk about that in my "What is to come" page. The transmission is a rear-mounted 4 speed manual trans-axle. With the transmission in the rear, the car's weight ratio is near 50-50 front to rear. The idea of a rear-mounted transmission was put into effect in the C5 Corvettes. Below is a picture and some information on the engine and transmission.
