Objective: Using MicroStation '95, convert existing hard copies of General Land Office maps, Midland Map Company Ownership Maps and USGS Topographic Maps into a single digitized version, available for server use, for Crockett County, Pecos County, and Upton County. The final map will be used for investigation of potential sites, land acquisition, and legal reference.
After digitizing property lines for the entirety of Pecos
County (above), the following additional information was layered:
Electrical transmission lines; county boundaries; 10,000
meter grid; USGS 1:250,000 scale Topographic Maps (blue lines = seam);
Professionally surveyed property lines and site development layouts (purple
area). All information is geographically accurate except the gray area
lying on the east side of the 102nd degree parallel, the border between
UTM Zone 13 and 14. The Map was then divided into four regions, each with
legend and area key map.
