Our department has 16 volunteer professionals.Eleven of our sixteen members have completed basic or advanced fire fighting classes at state fire schools, and all are provided training in vehicle extrication, a minimum of hazardous materials operations, along with SAR operations, and emergency vehicle operations training. Several members are state licensed as emergency medicine providers, and some have completed training from the University of Tennessee, the University of Alabama, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the National Fire Academy and others in public safety management, arson investigation, incident command, specialized medical courses, communications, wildland fire management, tactical operations, and more. We take great pride in the level of training and expertise that we have been able to obtain as a volunteer department and are extremely grateful to those who have provided the opportunity.
