A called shot may be made in combat by declaring a called shot and then roll 2d10. The first d10 is the to hit target dice and the second is the to hit the called area dice. If the first roll fails no hit is scored on the target. If the second roll fails roll a to hit location as per normal rules.
An Example of Combat
Jamison is walking down a tunnerl and, rounding a corner, stumbles into a party of 3 Venusian Grave-Robbers. They are immediately in close combat range. Jamison has an Agility of 3 and a Close Combat Skill of 4, which allows him 4 actions per turn. (The Higher of the 2 skills, Agility or Close Combat is the amount of actions each character has per close combat turn)The Basics of Combat Combat is fought in turns which represent 30 seconds of game time. The character or enemy with the highest Close Combat Skill goes first, unless surprise is achieved by an ambush or other tactic. Each character may perform the following actions during any one action:Referee:The Grave robbers have their knives out and are slashing at you with them. What are you doing? (First Action- Venusians - Attack)
Jamison:I'm dodging the knives and draw my revolver. (First Action - combination dodge and prepare a weapon)
Referee:(rolls dice) Your dodge was successful, and they miss you, but they're trying again. (Second Action- Attack)
Jamison:I'm dodging the knives and firing 3 shots from my revolver, 1 at each of them. (Second Action- combination dodge and attack)
Referee:(rolls dice)They miss you again. You hit one of them, and he drops wounded. The other 2 are still attacking with their knives (Third Action- Attack)
Jamison:I'm still dodging, and I'll fire 2 more rounds from the revolver. (Third Action- combination dodge and attack)
Referee:(rolls dice)You hit one of them, and he drops. The other slashes you with his knife. You take a Light wound to your left arm. They've finished their attacks for the moment. Your wound makes you hesitate for your last action.

Each Character is allowed actions equal to his Agility or Close Combat Skill , whichever is higher, in Close Combat, or 4 actions in ranged combat. A modifier made be added to the to hit roll if the Strength of the character is below the required strength for the weapon used.
Close Combat is when any character and enemy are within 10 yards of each other. Melee Combat is when characters use melee weapons (those that aren't guns or other ranged weapons)or fists. For fist fights, Fisticuffs skill is used, otherwise the Close Combat cascade for the weapon is used.
