The faculty views the students as learners who are intrinsically motivated by the need for self-esteem, the desifre to achieve, the urge to grow, the satisfaction of accomplishment, the need to know something specific, and/or curiosity. Learning is facilitated when activities are goal-directed, purposeful, and meaningful for the learner. An active process which involves the learner and includes hands-on and problem-solvcing experiences is very benefiecial for learning. By working collaboratively with the sutdents, the faculty develops educational programs that meet the student's learning needs. |
