What is the OTA Program? The Associate Degree program in Occupational Therapy prepares the student to work with people of all ages who, because of physical, cognitive, developmental, social or emotional problems, need specialized assistance in order to lead an independent, productive and satisfying life. Occupational Therapy looks at the person as a whole and facilitates performance of the individual's life roles through meaningful activities, either individually or in a group setting.

Employment opportunities are available in a wide variety of settings. These include hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, school systems, psychiatric hospitals and private practice outpatient clinics.

  2. Foster professional development in the faculty of the occupational therapy assistant program and in regional occupational therapy practitioners.
