Kawasaki Lowering Links

1. Raise the motorcycle with a bike stand, so the rear wheel is just slightly on the ground. Remove the two 22mm nuts that hold the links into the rocker and the swingarm, and then push the bolts out. Sometimes the swingarm needs to be raised to allow the link bolt on the swingarm end to clear the chain, so remove the rocker first.

2. Install Happy Trails lowering link, engraved part should face outward. A small amount of nutsieze compound in the inside of the holes on the links in a good idea.

3. The Kawasaki service manuals torque settings for the bolts is 98 Newton/meters or 72 ft/lbs.

*Disclaimer: lowering the rear more than the front will change the geometry and could affect the handling.
