Looking Back
You came into my heart.
As I stood and looked into your eyes,
The unspoken words of love came to me.
I could feel your soul close to mine.
And life has never been the same.
We grew together and did not have to speak of love,
As it was in our hearts and we became as one.
It was real and life was fulfilling.
There was no dark days,
The sun always shined brighter.
The moon was so brillant.
Even when there was rain we anxiously waited to see the rainbow.
With each season there were new memories,
And life was a celebration.
As I look back and think of you,
I still see your smiling face and a twinkle in your eye,
And think of the life you have given me.
Now at this time I am anxiously waiting to see,
What each new day will bring to me.
