Hymn Of The Charc, Season Six

My closet is filled with black
Dark suits on every rack
So much that m losing track
A whole damn year of black

All with hope, all with hope
That my clothes get no duller
I'd actually like some color in the fall

Once I had a suit of wine
that made me look especially fine
Then in a more moderate stage
I had that awful fling with beige
Not that I mean to complain
Black is classy, yet restrained
But change is healthy, nonetheless
and I'd like some pigment in my dress

So give me hope, give me hope
That my clothes get no duller
I'd really like some color in the fall

(bridge)
Swear you'll being back the Maine shirt
And other casual attire
My partner got to wear his tee-shirts
Would it be so dire?

Now you ask me 'bout my heels
And how all that running feels
Just how much height do you gain
are those inches worth the pain?
I answer, standing extra tall,
"Did I not catch Cardinale?"
I'll wear two-inch heels or ten
As long as they're not black again

So give me hope, give me hope
That my clothes get no duller
I'd really like some color in the fall
