This is a 1970 firebird Engine from my 1969
firebird coupe. Its a 400 big block, with about 340 horsepower.
-D100 found on the engine block means the engine block was made on april 10/70
-D130 found on the heads means the heads were made on april 13/70
-DN means everything was put together at Norwood plant
-051250 WS found on the engine block is the block code. WS means it was made for a manual transmission.
-GM 5 The foundry line casting, front and back of black.
-9799914 on engine block means it is a 1970 (400 RA 3)
I recently rebuilt the engine. All parts were cleaned very well, someparts were
glass-beaded, cam is original stock, carb is Holly Carb original stock, intake
is edelbrock torquer original stock, pistons are cast original stock, and the
heads and block are also original stock. The engine is freshly painted. If you
can say this, I would like to say that the engine is in show room condition. I
got a complete 1969 firebird and have decided to sell it in pieces. It is to
much work for me to rebuild the whole car. This engine is a gem and if you need
any other parts such as door panels to tail lights to the steering wheel, just
tell me and i will send you a picture. If you click the link below I do have
some parts with pictures. Feel free to email me at jenny_k_mac@yahoo.com
