Beetroot Pickle


650 g Beetroot Cooked, peeled and diced
450 g Onions
300 g Apples
450 g Sugar
1.5 dl Spirit vinegar
half tsp Salt
half tsp Pepper
half tsp Ground ginger


Chop the onions. Peel, core and slice the apples. Cook the apples, onions, vinegar, sugar and salt until the onions are tender. Add the diced beetroot, pepper and ginger and boil for 15 minutes. Put into warmed jars.



Difficulty: quite easy
Preparation time: 40 minutes + preparation time for beetroot
Total time: 1 hour at least
Precision: Approximate fruit and vegetable measurements are OK.
