Glacier

A river of patience,
Frozen, moving unhurriedly.
Walk upon the water,
Solid as marble, but colder.

What secrets are contained within?
Chilled, hidden away
From searching eyes,
To be given up when ready.

Criss-crossed crystal crevasses,
Walls of ice, plunging down
And down, white into black,
Where no light shines.

Your milk flows down,
Taking rocks as passengers,
Cold and grateful,
To be escaping from the tomb.
