Reserve is a village (the heart of the Gila National Forest)

located in Catron County, New Mexico http://www.catroncounty.org/chamber/ . [approximately 200 miles southwest of Albuquerque, near the Arizona/New Mexico border. ] As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 387. It is the county seat of Catron County.

At almost 7000 square miles, it is one of the largest counties in the USA, bigger than the state of Connecticut.

Roughly 2/3 of the land there is owned by the federal and state governments. Most of the 3.3 million acre Gila National Forest is within Catron County borders.

The Gila National Forest is the sixth largest National Forest in the continental United States.

The county has only 3543 residents, according to the 2000 census. That's about one person every 2 square miles!

On December 1, 1884, near town (then called Frisco), deputy sheriff Elfego Baca held off a gang of 80 Texan cowboys who wanted to kill him for arresting cowboy Charles McCarty. The cowboys were terrorizing the area's Hispanos and Baca was working against them.

On December 8th, in 1981 an enormous UFO shaped like an orange ball, and estimated to be 750 feet in length, made a number of turns in the sky south of Reserve, New Mexico at 7:30 p.m. and then executed a ninety-degree turn near Luna Mountain. The five witnesses said they saw a jet aircraft chase the UFO out of sight. (Source: International UFO Reporter, June 1982, p. 15).

The Mimbres starts in the Gila National Forest near Wall Lake flowing south.
It goes underground for most of the year near the City of Rocks, through Deming and emptying south of the border into Mexico.

I have never been able to verify this .. but here is
the story:

About a year or so ago.. ************ alleges they were
camping out in the area outside of a place called
Reserve, New Mexico...

It was like. 2 AM in the morning. and well... what
they SAY they say is they saw Aircrafts that were landing.

Only problem is : In the morning, when they went to try to
investigate.. there was nothing there!

Seems that the earth may have opened up and these
planes were able to fly INTO the ground and into some
kind of underground facility...west of Reserve, NM .
in Arizona.

Any thoughts?
