ARZARETH

An early issue of the LDS church's "Relief Society Magazine" (early 1900's) printed a story called...

...which was either the true account --- of a man, an exolorer, who strayed into a lost country "beyond" the North Pole... a land which possessed a mild temperature and vegetation --- or it was a fictional account based on the author's interpretation of Apocryphal scripture. The magazine did not make this very clear. The story was in fact based on the Apocryphal Jewish book of ESDRAS, particularly II Esdras chapter 13, describing the disappearance of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel (the name "Jew" is short for "Judah", which was only one of the 12 tribes of Israel. The tribes of Judah and Benjamin are known to live in Israel, however of the other ten tribes, there is no record of what became of them... until now?)

The BOOK OF ESDRAS, especially the 13th chaper, describes the strange land to which they departed as ARZARETH.

Another Jewish website adds more to this, concerning this lost land from which the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel are supposed to return in the "last days".
