Lazio defender and club captain Alessandro Nesta has agreed a five-year deal with the Rome club worth nearly £15 million. On Monday night, the Italian international and darling of the Lazio fans agreed a new five-year deal which will keep him at the club until 2006. In addition to his £2.8 million a year contract, the 25-year-old Nesta also secured his image rights in order to conclude personal sponsorship deals. Nesta said: "I'm happy because I can now realise my wishes of staying on with Lazio."
