Happy 2005!!!

My partner and I are in our new location and are getting it suitable for living at the moment. I am trying to do some updates to the news articals on this site. It may be sometime in February before I can get the entire site updated fully. Until then, please feel free to surf this site and visit the resourse links provided. I will update the older articals I have saved and start doing regular Blogs as soon as I am able to.

This site is dedicated to support the rights of the Gay Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered (GLBT) Community. This includes the fight for same sex marriage in the United States as a federally acknowledged right. If you support equal rights for the GLBT community, this site is for you. It doesn't matter if you are gay or straight, you can still support equal rights for everyone.

Our pledge of Allegiance says "with liberty and justice for all." Our fore fathers promised us "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Nowhere is it written that these things promised to all Americans are only if you are a straight person. The gay community deserves the same happiness as the straight community does. But there are groups and "Leaders" in government that are trying to make happiness a privilege only available to you if you are a straight person. Letting the right wing Christian groups' money influence them to make laws that make these rights (and others) just for straight people. This is mostly what this site is dedicated to fighting against.

This site does not believe that religion should have any influence on ANY laws made by the Federal Government. There is supposed to be a separation of church and state after all. And if it is up to the beliefs of religion to decide if these rights should be given, don't leave out the pagan and Unitarian Universalists, their beliefs should count as well. And they both say that it is our right to unite in love and happiness.

I will be adding links to any news, information, and online Petitions for or against same sex marriages. Please visit them, cast your vote and be heard.

I also want to add "Unity Announcements" for same sex couples. Even though this site will primarily address the fight in the United States, I want to let the world know just how many of us there are out there, so these announcements can be from anywhere in the world. Please contact me if you want to add yours or your friends' Unity Announcement to this site. Just use the envelope that appears on every page to email me.

If you want to help in the fight for equal rights, I have a page with links to non-profit groups who are fighting for these rights. Please show your support for the fight by supporting them. This site is privately owned and does not want nor require financial support of any kind. The only support I need is yours for these non-profit groups. I also ask that you tell others about my site. This way I can spread the news and information I add to this site as far as possible. This is one of my ways of getting involved, you can support my by getting involved yourself anyway you can.

I will be starting an online group for this site. I am not sure if it will be a Yahoo! group or an MSN group yet. When I open the group I will be posting a join link below on this page. Check back for it if you may want to join.
