Chip's Challenge 83

For the TI 83+

Known bugs: Since the old keys do not get deleted when you play again, you can simply walk throught the bottom door without collecting the keys. Just add the command Fill(0,L1) to the beginning of program CHIP. :)

All of the game sprites. Actually, more have been added since I took this, but you get the idea.

The screen generator proved very easy to program, so I made this level to give you an idea of gameplay. Obviously it won't be in the real game. You can move around pretty easily, but it takes almost 15 seconds to draw the screen. :(

This is when my calculator screwed up and I thought I lost everything!
I know this doesn't look very different, but I've now got keys and locked doors working. As you can probably see from the screenshot, you have to get a key, open a door, get another key, open another door, get the chips, go through the chipgate, and beat the level in the upper right. Oh so challenging!
Phew! Copying the CC logo pixel-by-pixel was a pain. It's not exact, but it's pretty close. Anyway, this is the current intro screen. Later I'll add better looking writing for CHIP'S CHALLENGE, but for now it's normal Text(. Oh yeah and the menu doesn't work, but those are pretty much the same options I'm going to have in the full version.
All hail the great kv83! (who made this level in Asm) This is just a product of kv's boredom, so don't expect the final Basic version to go this fast. :(
Another little 1-screen level made by JeePee. Expect it in the next demo!
Here's a taste of some of the thing's I've done since the original demo level was posted. Notice the keys in the menu at the right on the first two screenshots, then notice that arrow tiles are working in the screenie on the right. Ice tiles are still in the works.
