*IF JEAN MARTIN WOULD KEEP HER FIRM COMMITMENT AND PROMISE to vote for Dr. Allen for the vacancy on the Selma Waterworks Board? According to information given us by a third party, Councilman Williamson has said that he, Mrs. Martin, Dr. Allen, and George Evans were in a meeting in December in which they discussed voting for Dr. Allen for the Water Board. AT THAT TIME, MRS. MARTIN MADE A FIRM COMMITMENT AND PROMISE to vote for Dr. Allen. It is reported that Dr. Allen twice asked Mrs. Martin if that was a firm commitment and THAT MRS. MARTIN ANSWERED A DEFINITE "YES" each time. We congratulate Mrs. Martin on keeping her promise!
*HOW LONG BLACK COUNCIL MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS are going to continue to be SILENT while Police Chief Jimmy Martin continues to harass a black female, Clarissa Cole. The incompetent Martin has now SUSPENDED Cole for 3 more days without pay because she tried to let the City Council know that Martin was harassing her. We want Perkins and the Crenshaw 4 to know that IF WHITE POLICE CHIEF WERE HARASSING AN INNOCENT WHITE FEMALE, THE WHITE COMMUNITY WOULD NOT BE SILENT AND WOULD NOT STAND FOR THIS HARASSMENT!!!
*WHY Mayor Perkins, a super sized egomaniac, put a sign at the foot of the Pettus Bridge TO GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT HE AND CITY GOVERNMENT ARE REPAIRING AND PAINTING THE BRIDGE? This is totally a STATE OF ALABAMA PROJECT and another example of how PERKINS TRIES TO TAKE CREDIT FOR ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.
*WHY PERKINS THINKS HE DOES NOT HAVE TO GIVE INFORMATION TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS about why he only got one proposal for his $350,000.00 warrant issue or how he plans to pay it back or WHEN he plans to pay it back?
*WHY JIMMY MARTIN AND PERKINS will not do anything about THE OUT OF CONTROL CRIME IN OUR AREA OF SELMA? We are on the verge of HAVING TO HIRE OFF DUTY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS TO PATROL OUR AREA BECAUSE THE CITY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT CRIME IN OUR AREA! Mayor Perkins: WHEN we have to hire off duty officers to protect us, you can be sure it will be Dallas County Deputies we hire and NOT YOUR POLICE!! We still think it is a disgrace that a church across from CITY HALL has to hire off duty officers so church members will not be mugged on Selma's streets going to CHURCH!!!
*WHY the tone of City Council Meetings is becoming meaner and more hateful? It looks to us like Perkins and his flunkies, the CRENSHAW 4, are becoming MORE MEAN SPIRITED AND HATEFUL EACH MEETING TOWARD EVANS, WILLIAMSON, AND CAIN.
*WHY ONE OF THE MAYOR'S LADY FRIENDS IN CITY HALL, WHO MAKES MORE THAN $35,000.00 A YEAR, IS BEING SUED FOR NON-PAYMENT OF A COUPLE OF HER BILLS? AND THESE ARE THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF OUR CITY'S FINANCES?!
