IF the name Roxy Starks means anything to Police Chief Jimmy Martin?
WHY City sales tax continues to DECLINE and has been down 5 of the last 6 months? Does Perkins think the
people of Selma can't see what's happening to this once lovely City under his MISGUIDED
LEADERSHIP?
WHY the Mayor thinks Bush Hog leaving Selma and going to Sel-Field ( OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS ) is good
economic news? Didn't he read that 130 jobs will be lost at Bush Hog in the next 18 months and
operations are being moved out of the City of Selma and some out of Alabama? Perkins wants to mention
all the traffic coming out of the Craig Industrial Park; DOESN'T HE UNDERSTAND THIS IS ALSO OUTSIDE OF
THE CITY?
WHY PERKINS IS TRYING TO EMBARASS COUNCIL PRESIDENT EVANS by having his own work sessions where all of
his incompetent Department Heads can be present and he won't have to worry about them revealing
anything about City government that he can't explain away. The people of Selma need to understand
that at previous sessions such as this, if a Department Head was asked a rather pointed question and
Perkins knew the Department Head was so ignorant that he/she couldn't answer it, HE WOULD INTERUPT AND
SAY HE WASN'T GOING TO LET THE DEPARTMENT HEAD ANSWER THE QUESTION!
WHY PERKINS CREATED SUCH A FUSS WITH ALL OF HIS CURSING AND SHOUTING AT THE LAST COUNCIL WORK SESSION
THAT THE POLICE HAD TO BE CALLED BEFORE HE AND LEASHORE PHYSICALLY ATTACKED COUNCIL MEMBERS?
WHY Crenshaw, Leashore, Randolph, and Venter will not do something about POLICE CHIEF JIMMY MARTIN
SEXUALLY HARASSING BLACK FEMALE EMPLOYEES IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT?
WHEN the Selma Times-Journal is going to print the news that the Selma City Council has VOTED TO HAVE A
PROFESSIONAL FIRM EVALUATE THE SELMA POLICE DEPARTMENT AND MARTIN? It took a lot of doing before this
recommendation of the CRIME TASK FORCE was ever voted on by the council.
WHY no black City Council member has spoken in support of a brave African American woman, Clarissa Cole,
who has come forward to expose Jimmy Martin for the harasser and incompetent he is? ARE these black
officials such slaves to Perkins and Martin that THEY WILL NOT EVEN SUPPORT THEIR OWN BLACK
WOMEN?
AS A FINAL INSULT to Council Members, at "his" work session, Perkins will have Department Heads sit in
the chairs of Council Members on the Dias! We wonder how Dr Allen, Evans, Williamson, and Cain will
respond to that insult?
WHY thousands of people a day are now reading this website? Is it because THEY WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH?
Tell everyone far and wide to read this website if they REALLY want to know what is happening in
