THAT the Chairman of the Selma City School Board, HENRY HICKS, has his child on the FREE lunch program at the School of Discovery. The free lunch program is suppose to be for children from impoverished families who can not pay for the lunches. We are told that even when Hicks was making almost $50,000 a year as Public Works Director for the Perkins Administration that his child was on the free lunch program. The abuse of this program by people such as HICKS is one reason we will not be voting for any new taxes for the Selma City Schools. According to Board Member Powell, the system will be broke within the next year.
THAT the defeated and disgraced ex-councilman Johnny "the loser" Leashore continues to lie on HATE RADIO 105.3. One of the latest lies is that Mayor Evans. Is being paid $50,000 as Superintendent of the Water Works. The truth is that Mayor Evans is being paid $25,000 a year. This is the same amount paid to Mayor Perkins and the same amount paid to Mayor Smitherman. THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY STOLE FROM AND RIPPED-OFF THE WATER WORKS ARE LEASHORE AND CRENSHAW. According to the State Examiners of Public Accounts, those two stole more than $100,000 from the people of Selma by taking salaries they were not entitled to.
THAT Hank And Rose Sanders and the Chestnut family continue to let someone with e reputation as a thief (remember the Community Action Agency fired him), a philander (shooting into the house of his girl friend) and an unadulterated, habitual liar such as Leashore remain on their radio station. We are fortunate that he and HATE RADIO have a very small following in Selma and very few local advertisers; nevertheless, anyone listening to HATE RADIO would never locate a business here.
THAT Rose Sanders continues to repeat HER OWN LIES on Hate Radio. Last week, she said again that Mayor Smitherman sold Minnie B. Anderson (MBA) Homes to his son, Steve, for $1. The truth is that Steve Smitherman never has owned MBA Homes, he does not own MBA Homes today, and the Mayor never sold MBA Homes to Steve or anyone else. If the Mayor sold MBA to Steve for $1, we challenge ROSE SANDERS to produce the Deed. Put up or shut up is what we say to this troubler of Selma.
THAT defeated former Mayor Perkins went to Denver for a Freedom Foundation function and trashed his own hometown to curry favor with the friggin' FFers. He gave his total support to this JESUS DENYING CULT and the Colorado cult and the carpetbaggers who have come to Selma and created strife, division and hate. Apparently the Rev. Perkins doesn't put much stock in the Bible and the doctrine of the church for almost 2,000
years of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The FF/House of God cults denies that Jesus is God come in the flesh and now Perkins has publicly joined in with them. How many of them does he think will still be in town in 2012 to support him for Mayor?
THAT ROSE SANDERS continues to attack District Attorney Jackson for his handling of the case involving the former state trooper who shot Jimmie Lee Jackson. Doesn't she know that the OFFICIAL AUTOPSY report stated that Jackson died, not from the gun shot wound, but from mistreatment at the Good Sam Hospital---8 days after he was shot. We don't think the DA could have gotten a conviction after 45 years and mostly dead witnesses had this case gone to trial. Until someone can show us evidence to the contrary, we are supporting the DA in this decision!
