TROUBLE IN PARADISE

We did not think the little Perkins pimp, Johnnie Leashore, would take getting kicked off HATE RADIO'S Public Conversation laying down. Sure enough, Leashore, who could not compose a sentence with a subject-verb agreement if his life depended on it, got with Perkins and they fired off the following letter to Hate Radio's Franklin Fortier dated June 1, 2011.
Dear Rev. Fortier:
I felt the need to respond to your letter of May 30, 2011, wherein you stated the principals of Imani Communications directed you to no longer allow me to participate as co-host on Wednesdays, A Public Conversation. I must admit being a little disappointed, but I am not surprised.
It is well known that I support the former Mayor Perkins, and the majority of the station support George Evans. It is equally well known that the majority of African Americans support Perkins and would like to see him back in office, while a majority of Whites, especially those advocates of Angel Fire support Evans, to facilitate their propaganda. I fail to understand how it benefits African Americans to silence and try to censor me when I have merely tried to tell the truth to our people and not allow them to be led down primrose path, especially by those who do not have their best interest at heart.
Bishop, I have no animosity against you about this decision to ban me from your show, but I take issue with the owners and principals as you call them, simply because this particular show, A Public Conversation, was initiated by the late great attorney J.L. Chestnut, Jr. He tried to speak the truth to people, as he understood that African Americans have a long history of being in slavery and bondage, being lied to and undermined by the very leaders who were suppose to be looking out for their best interest. And, this deceit and connivery was done to the "least of these", the very people who needed it the most. So, I believe J.L. Chestnut would "roll over" in his grave to know that the direction of the principals is to have this station and his show, A Public Conversation, reduced to no more than a "mirror image" of the cross town station which only says what most Whites and a few Blacks would want listeners to heart.
Finally Bishop, I am sure that you recall that this is the second time the owners have attempted to silence me for reasons they only know. I have an opinion as to why this is so important, but I will not divulge it at this time. However, I am reminded of a great philosopher, civil rights worker and preacher who once said, "The truth crushed to art will rise again." I feel in due time the truth of what is behind all of this and the need for me to be silenced and shut down ail be told. And the people will decide who was right or wrong. I have enjoyed our time on the air and continue to wish you the best.

If there is a more evil and hate filled person in Selma than Johnnie Leashore, we would like to know who it is. Leashore speaks of the truth, BUT HE CONSTANTLY TELLS LIES. Some that come to mind: The city charging people $3 to part at Selma High football games. That is a lie. Selma High charges the $3 and gets all of the money for parking. Leshore also said the city bought 2 $60,000 Tahoe's for the fire department from the Bond Fund...a total of $120,000. That is a lie. The city bought 2 Tahoe's for a total of $53,500, not $120,000 and only $44,000 of that amount came from the bond fund. Leashore said that Dr. Williamson didn't want an election when he resigned from the School Board and his wife was appointed to fill out the term, but Williamson wanted an election to fill the Ward 3 seat. That is a lie. Leashore is so ignorant that he did not know the Alabama Law does not provide for the possibility of an election to fill a vacant school board seat. Either the Board appoints or within 30 days the State Superintendent appoints.
We could catalogue more lies Leashore has told about the Mayor, city government, Williamson, Bowie, Benjamin and Tucker while ignorantly calling himself "co-counsel". The word "counsel" refers to a lawyer, not a LIAR like Leashore. We are sure he meant co-councilman with Tucker, but in his ignorance and we see even Fortier fell into the same ignorance, he refers to himself as "co-counsel".
We do not know why he was taken off of HATE RADIO, but if they have any sense of integrity and truth, they will completely remove him from the air waves. His ignorance, lies and misuse of the English language should be embarrassment to the owners of this station.
