THEY ARE AT IT AGAIN…

The Freedom Foundation/House of God cult is hurling another broadside at Selma and its people with its upcoming musical propaganda piece “Footloose, Remix”. Of all the musicals its RATS (aptly named) Theatre group could have performed shortly after coming to Selma, the cult choose Footloose with its not so subtle message against a Bible believing preacher and the portrayal of a rebellious teen-ager as a hero. The teen-ager moves from Chicago to a small town in the west which forbids dancing. He sets out to change this backward,, hick town as the senior prom approaches. WHAT RATS was portraying with their play was Selma as the hick town, they as the saviors who have come to deliver us from ourselves, and of course MARK DUKE as the later day Ren of Footloose who will change the city forever.
Having been in Selma for more than 4 years and having not been accepted with their Jesus denying theology, the cult will try again with its newest play to tell us how evil, wicked, and sinful we in Selma are, with its latest propaganda piece “Footloose Remix”. The cult has lost most all of the acceptance they initially had in Selma by their open involvement on the wrong side of local politics, particularly their support of defeated former MAYOR JAMES PERKINS, JR., AND THEIR OWN LEADER GWEN BROWN. This bad judgment coupled with their heretical theology of denying the holy Trinity among other long held Christian beliefs has alienated them from most all people, black and white, of good will in Selma. A number of the cult members have left Selma to return to Colorado while others have gone to Fayetteville and Peachtree City, Georgia.
NOT all of them have left however. Cult member Cynthia Gibson has recently been hired by James Mitchell at Wallace College to work in the tutoring program there and at least 2 of the cult members have enrolled at Wallace for this semester. We are pleased that Ms. Gibson is out of the public school system.
We are pleased to know that the cult’s REAL TALK radio program is no longer on HATE RADIO 105.3. At least the community is no longer subjected to hours of false teaching and political commentary supporting James Perkins, Jr.. under the guise of “religion”.
Now if HATE RADIO 105.3 would terminate the liar Johnnie Leashore it might get some credibility and respectability in the community and pick up enough advertisers to make it a profitable venture. Leashore’s latest big lie: the city will spend $1 million on a marine from bond funds. The truth: there is only $100,000 for a marina in the bond fund. It will have to be a public/private partnership. If HATE RADIO 105.3 is going to keep Leashore on the air, we hope they will invest enough money to send him to an English class so that he will learn to say a sentence which has a correct subject-verb agreement. There is no reason for someone like Leashore to be so ignorant of standard English when he could go to the community college and take a class!
