INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE PUTS $20,000 LIEN ON ROSE AND HANK SANDERS SCHOOL.....WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MONEY CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS GAVE TO THE SANDERS SCHOOL???
According to the July 15, 2006 The Selma Update, THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE HAS PUT A LIEN OF $20,140.21 on the MCRAE LEARNING CENTER for non-payment of taxes receives public money from the Educational Trust Fund through the efforts of Sen. Sanders. Long time Sanders watcher, Cecil Williamson, says that since 1993 more than $700,000 from the Educational Trust Fund has been given to this PRIVATE SCHOOL.
This site wonders how much hell the Sanders would have raised if $1 of public money had been given to a PRIVATE PREDOMINATELY WHITE SCHOOL IN SELMA.
WHAT CONCERNS THIS SITE IS WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE MONEY THAT SELMA CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS ARE GIVING TO THE MCRAE SCHOOL FROM COUNCIL MEMBERS DISCRETIONERY FUNDS? This site has heard that Sam Randolph gave $1,500 from discretionary funds for a ROOF for the school, WHICH WAS NEVER PUT ON. Other Council Members such as B.R. Crenshaw have also given public money to this private school.
This site wonders what is happening to the money BECAUSE THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE LIEN SHOWS THE SCHOOL IS NOT PAYING ITS TAXES. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME MCRAE HAS NOT PAID ITS TAXES AND BEEN IN THE NEWS FOR NON-PAYMENT.
