QUESTIONS ANSWERED
2-14-08

This website, through much detailed investigation, determined that the real answers to the questions in the STJ concerning the bond issue posed to the Mayor were not clear. This, we feel, will clarify his answers.

Q. Will the city own the wired network?
A. Only if my council says so, otherwise, it will belong to me.

Q. Will citizens have to pay to be on the network?
A. Yes. I will give them a location to mail their payments to.

Q. Will network owners have access to everyone's computer information?
A. No. Only 2 will be allowed to get that information. It's my network so I am entitled to all information on my network.

Q. What proposed streets have been identified for pavement, gutters and sidewalk curbing?
A. I have not selected the areas for gutters and sidewalks. I know if any sidewalks are done they will be done in Wards 5 through 8. I would be crazy to do them in the wards that don't support me with their votes.

Q. Will this be enough money to meet the needs of this project throughout the city? If not, how much money will be needed?
A. I didn't say we would do any sidewalks or curbing, I said "if" we did. We have a narrow window of time to spend this money. It must be spent before the next Mayor's election. Me and the Crenshaw 4 may not be re-elected so we must hurry!

Q. What plan will be put in place to maintain the extension of the library?
A. There will be no extension to the library because the directors have told me they can hardly pay the city's part and their part of the utilities. I added that to make the bond issue figures come out right.

Q. What plan will be put in place to pay utilities for the library, currently, and for future extensions?
A. I answered that question just before this one. We won't have a bigger library or any more money throwed at it.

Q. How much money will it take to purchase, or lease, the Trolley Transportation System, and how many will be needed?
A. It really doesn't matter. My wife asked for this trolley and I'm going to give it to her. Me and her are going to name it after my sister "The C.C. Express".

Q. How many people will be hired to manage this system and how will they be paid?
A. I have the authority to hire as many people as I choose. I have proven that by the number of people I have hired in City Hall. I have filled it up. This question should never have been asked.

Q. How will the city recover it's $2 million investment in the movie theater?
A. The poverty in our city is growing so people will have more time to go to the movies. We will use TrustBuild to protect the cars parked at the theater. We will not charge for tickets but will charge for security. That is an idea I came up with by myself so I know it will be successful.

Q. What type of safeguards, or options, will be in place to insure the investment is protected?
A. TrustBuild again will come into play. They will be the safety guards. The options will be whether or not to arm them. If these things work, which they will, we will not need to worry about a return on our investment. The people will return over and over again.

Q. Will there be a lease agreement? If so, please explain the terms of the lease payment.
A. I really couldn't say right now. It depends on who it is or whether or not they are related. I have several friends in Birmingham, one of them my neighbor, who would like to rent it month to month. What's the next question?

Q. How will the amphitheater and riverwalk be managed and by whom?
A. I may rent that to. I haven't decided yet but it should rent for more than the Perkins Cinema.

Q. What is the estimated amount of money that it will take to manage and maintain these facilities?
A. That depends on a lot of stuff. If we can take some more money from the library and the Police Department, we may be able to save the riverwalk money for my campaign. I think this year will be one for the records in campaign costs. Anyone can walk along the river whenever they want to already.

I must be about the city's business so you can talk to me later in my office. If I'm not there or if I'm busy, just put your questions or comments on paper and leave it like Cecil and Reid have to. My door is always open....once a year!
