HOW LONG WILL THE DECENT PEOPLE OF SELMA PUT UP WITH THE ANTICS OF POLICE CHIEF JIMMY MARTIN AND MAYOR PERKINS IN NOT PROTECTING THE CITIZENS OF SELMA?
This is a true story, which infuriates me. Last Friday at the Dollar Store, a man and a woman were in the store buying some supplies; shopping at their leisure. Outside the store was a police woman and a new police car. After the man and woman had purchased some items (NO DOUBT AT THE CITY EXPENSE NOW THAT I KNOW THE WHOLE STORY) they came out of the store and GOT INTO THE POLICE CAR. The police officer drove off with the woman in the front seat and the man in the backseat..LIKE THE OFFICER WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A GLORIFIED CHAUFFEUR FOR THE PAIR!
I wondered who these people were; being driven to shop by a police officer in a police car. I inquired in the store as to who the man and woman were and was told that THEY WERE TRUSTBUILD WORKERS!!!
How much longer are MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL going to put up with this nonsense of 6 police officers chauffeuring TRUSTBUILD WORKERS AROUND SELMA LIKE THEY ARE SOME KIND OF ROYALTY WHEN IN FACT THEY ARE NOTHING EXCEPT PERKIN'S CAMPAIGN WORKERS BEING PAID FOR BY THE TAXPAYERS!
How much longer will the City Council members and the public put up with churches having to hire off duty law enforcement officials to protect church goers because there are not enough City patrol cars and officers to protect the people; BUT TRUSTBUILD CAN USE POLICE OFFICERS AND NEW POLICE CARS TO WASTE CITY GAS, MONEY, AND TIME, TO CAMPAIGN FOR PERKIN'S RE-ELECTION!
Do any of the City Council members, except Williamson, have the guts to say it is time for Trustbuild to be abolished immediately so police officers can protect this City RATHER THAN BE CHAUFFEURS FOR GLORIFIED SOCIAL WORKERS?!
