FIRST PRESBYTERIAN, DR. RON STONE, AND THE FREEDOM FOUNDATION

Recently there has been much discussion about the disunity the Freedom Foundation had caused in the First Presbyterian Church. We are saddened by this disruption because one of us is a Presbyterian and Dr. Stone is our friend and pastor. We thought he had made a mistake when he spoke from the pulpit about Morgan Academy, the Charity League, and the Country Club.
In the letter which follows from Dr. Stone to the First Pres Church family, he admits that he was wrong in what he said about the Country Club and Charity League and apologizes. That is certainly good enough for us.
Following Dr. Stone's letter is a series of questions which First Pres members asked Dr. Stone and the church Session (governing body of Elders) and the answers the Elders gave. We regret that the Freedom Foundation caused so much trouble in the Church, and again express our personal wish, that they would leave us alone and go back to Colorado.
