MUSINGS ON THE WARD 3 ELECTION

We predicted that Gwen Brown had made a fatal political mistake when she sided with ex-Mayor James Perkins, the disgraced and defeated ex-councilman Johnnie Leashore, Ruthless Crenshaw and Sam Randolph. These people are out of touch with all of the white voters and the great majority of black voters in Selma. The good people in Selma, black and white, are tired of Hate Radio 105.3, the lies of Leashore, and the antics of Crenshaw and Randolph. Perkins, Leashore, Crenshaw and Randolph helped Gwen get a mere 98 votes more than she received on May 24. Meanwhile, blacks and whites in Ward 3 gave Greg Bjelke more than 250 more votes than he received on May 24. IT WAS A LANDSLIDE victory by any standard and has hopefully sent a message to the ex-mayor and his followers that they are not supported by more than 2/3 of the people of Selma.
Meanwhile, HATE RADIO 105.3 continues to spew its venom all over Selma and the Black Belt via Ronald Smith, Zeke Pettway, Franklin Fortier and the biggest liar and loser of all, Johnnie Leashore.
We hope that Dr. Williamson follows up on his promise to contact the District Attorney and the Attorney General about the voter fraud in the absentee box. For example, (1) RONALD SMITH, the pastor of the cult church, Selma Community Church, ordained by Mark Duke, voted absentee stating in writing that he would be out of town on election day. HOWEVER, early on election day he was at the courthouse campaigning for Gwen Brown. What a liar he is! (2) KATIE CLARK, Freedom Foundation member voted absentee indicating that she had a job of more than 10 hours on election day which would make it impossible for her to vote. INSTEAD, NOT ONLY WAS SHE NOT WORKING ON ELECTION DAY, SHE WAS THE POLL WATCHER for Gwen Brown at the Absentee box. What a fraud! (3) ROBERTA JANE MCGOWAN voted absentee stating that she would be out of state voting in this election. INSTEAD, SHE WAS A POLL WATCHER ALL DAY FOR GWEN BROWN. Another liar and fraud! There are many other examples of Freedom Foundation members living out of state voting in this election. Ballots were mailed to Colorado, Georgia and Virginia to FFers. Additionally many cult members voted absentee saying they would be out of town when in fact they were in Selma working all day on July 5 for Gwen. If the cult ever had any moral ground or credibility, THEY LOST IT BY THEIR ACTIONS IN THIS ELECTION.
Meanwhile, the vile and vicious liar Leashore continues to slander the First Presbyterian Church by saying there was drinking there and Sam Randolph was assaulted there on May 24. Of course he has the wrong church as Mr. Bjelke's victory celebration was at St. Paul's Episcopal Church and no one was drinking in the sanctuary as Leashore said. Further, Randolph was not assaulted by anyone.
We do want to keep Leashore's theft of public funds before the public. The State Examiners of Public Accounts said:
"Johnnie Leashore, Chairman, has received $800 per month for the month of OCtober 2004 to December, 2006. Beginning January, 2007, Mr. Leashore began receiving $2,083.32 monthly and continues to receive this salary. From the period beginning October 1, 2004 through January 31, 2008, the Chairman Johnnie M. Leashore has received a total of $59,609.17. OF THIS AMOUNT ONLY$15,400 WAS ALLOWABLE IN A TOTAL OVERPAYMENT OF 44,209.17."
We want to know when Leashore is going to pay this money back to the Water Board. During the 4 years he, Ruthless Crenshaw and Sam Randolph were on the Water Board and Perkins was Superintendent, they put in place a RATE INCREASE FOR EVERY JUNE 1 THROUGH 2014 ON THE CITIZENS OF SELMA.
As big a thief as Leashore is, Crenshaw was an even bigger one being overpaid, according to the State Examiners, a total of $55,252.12. And lets not forget Sam Randolph who was overpaid $14,850. We think Leashore, Crenshaw and Randolph should pay back this $115,000.00 THEY STOLE FROM THE PEOPLE OF SELMA.
With the cult that is led by Gwen Brown and supported by Perkins, Crenshaw, Leashore and Randolph in town, Selma, unfortunately, can look forward to continued hate on HATE RADIO 105.3 and division in the city.
