Chaos In The Council
10-5-07

We have posted information on this website concerning the chaos at the council meeting of great public debate. This website would like to make it very clear how we understand this meeting.

It is our opinion that Councilperson Crenshaw started the trouble that led to the problems that occurred post council meeting. Crenshaw should have been cited for disturbing the peace and, in fact, removed from the meeting by Officer Ghant.

Officer Ghant was in violation of the law when she saw that Crenshaw was disturbing the peace and refused to remove her. She was also in violation of the law when she failed to follow a lawful order given by President Evans. Retired Officer Walker was in violation when he interfered with President Evans' order by telling him Officer Ghant would not remove Crenshaw unless she removed Evans at the same time.

Councilman Cain involved himself in the chaos by asking Officer Ghant's name. We have viewed the tape of this council meeting slow motion, regular recorded speed, and have excerpts of the crucial moment Cain supposedly assaulted or harrassed this Officer. WE FOUND NOTHING - Don't believe us? Look at the tape yourself.

If after you view this tape you feel we are right, where does that leave us?

It started with, and ended with, Crenshaw, Walker, Ghant, and Leashore making these charges by the fact they were yelling about Cain without having any view of the supposed infraction.

THIS STARTED WITH CRENSHAW AND CAME FULL CIRCLE BACK TO HER.

Walker, Ghant, Crenshaw, and Leashore do not need to tell people who they support and who they take orders from. They have stacked the deck against Reid Cain and his character and reputation but stacked decks do not always win.

Mayor Perkins was involved in this very deeply and contributed to this calamity as much, if not more, than his Walker, Ghant, Crenshaw, and Leashore. He refused to assist in the controlling of this situation. We feel this not only shows Perkins as a vindictive, controlling coward, it proves that he does not belong as a part of our municipal government.

Mr. Cain, the support for you runs deep in this city. We realize you can't help your intelligence level that exceeds that of Mayor Perkins. He is trying to fight your knowledge with his trumped up charges. Maybe if he would go back to Birmingham and enter into another business and get some practical business experience (instead of his tendency to bankrupt) he could talk to you at your level.
