Following is the report of Chief Riley on the missing Veronica and her missing Cadillac. To us, it appears to be either another cover-up or more incompetence and ineptness which characterized the SPD under the then leadership of Jimmy Martin and former Mayor Perkins. WE REPORT, YOU DECIDE !!!
What disturbs us is that the SAME PEOPLE ARE INVOLVED in every one of these missing cars and missing money fiascoes which plagued the SPD a couple of years ago while Martin was Chief and Perkins was Mayor. OUR OPINION IS THAT THE CARS AND THE MONEY WAS STOLEN BY some affiliated with the SPD and the money was pocketed. OUR OPINION IS ALSO THAT THERE IS SO MUCH CORRUPTION AMONG 5-10 members of the SPD that a Task Force of outside law enforcement officials needs to investigate the department and clean out the few criminals and the thugs on the SPD payroll.
