LET'S BORROW SOME MONEY

Since King James took office in 2000 the Auditor's Report has given the citizens the same discrepancies. Money not reconciled, check registers not checked and balanced, and grant money...who knows? Now the King is asking the citizens to trust him with a $4,000,000.00 bond issue to dump into his personal coffer.
Him and the Crenshaw Block have complained constantly about the St. James Hotel and how it was handled by Joe T. Now it's OK for them to start the same "mess" they accused Joe T. of making.
Over $700,000.00 for repairs to the City Building. Didn't the Mayor's Report at the last Council Meeting indicate that the buildings, particularly the Public Safety Building, were not in need of major repairs?
$600,000.00 for traffic light cameras. One more responsibility for the police department. They can't do their primary job now because of their lack of personnel and total loss of morale. Where is the money the City has saved by not paying the 15 officers who left and were not replaced?
We need more traffic violators caught, but more than than, we need the fines that the violators have to pay collected. The last amount we heard was owed in traffic fines was over $300,000.00!
We owe $1,715,000.00 on a bond issue that was passed in 1999. What kind of reasoning is "you never want your bond debt to run out"? That's like saying you never want to finish paying for your car or a college loan. This kind of financial thinking is why cities, and their citizens, stay in debt for no dicernable reason. A person with this thinking also does not care about what you owe or how "strapped for cash" you are. He is concerned with himself and only with himself.
You keep driving 20 and 30 year old cars. Let him continue to suck up your privilages, rights, and more of your money. Live in houses not fit for animals and watch him live in luxury at YOUR expense.
King James does not care about you, your children, or your human condition...only about his own.
