MORE INCOMPETENCE FROM THE PERKINS ADMINISTRATION FINANCE DEPARTMENT

          Incompetence continues to characterize the Perkins City Hall Departments. RECENTLY, a Selma Business recieved the notice which follows this article. The notice is from AlaTax, which collects business taxes - for a fee of course - for the City of Selma.

          The business owner had paid the tax; had his/her receipts, and forwarded them, with the note, "I don't know where the incompetence originated that caused this action but enclosed is proof of fees paid".

          What incompetent at City Hall or at AlaTax has sent out these embarassing notices to business owners in Selma who have paid their City Taxes? If it is Perkins Finance Department, REMEMBER, these are the same people that lost numerous checks for garbage fees in their own safe (so they said) for more than 6 months last year. If Alatax is responsible, maybe the City should get a more competent tax collector.

          AT A TIME WHEN the City needs every business it can get, how does Perkins justify such incompetence in City Hall? Apparently, he does not have the backbone to do what needs to be done and that is to clean out the incompetents out of his administration!
