In The Rough

Find out where I am and what I have been up to by reading my journal, which is sorted by country.

Here's the gear necessary to cycle halfway around the world.

In February 2005, I will be undertaking a 22,000km (approx.) solo bicycle trip from Singapore to England. From Singapore, I will cycle through approximately 20 countries to my destination of (for now) London, England . My chosen route will take me from the urban jungle of Singapore to the remote mountain villages of northern Thailand, the high plateaus of Tibet and the endless deserts of Iran. I haven't yet finalized a route through Europe.

In the beginning I wanted to do the ride for charity and was trying to find a worthwhile cause. There are loads of charities which do heaps of good for society and there are some which cause more social problems than they cure. As of now I am still undecieded on a cause. Now my main goal of the trip is to encourage young people to overcome fears and strike down boundaries to make your dreams come true.
