This is the back of Versailles and the statue I think is of a naked Zeus.
The barren gardens of Versailles! Imagine how beautiful it is when the brown dirt has flowers in it and the fountains are on! It's too bad it's so foggy, though, or you could see how far that man-made lake extends back. The grounds are enormous. People apparently used to go sailing in that lake back in the day of the French aristocracy inhabiting the large thing.
An American takes a picture of me and Nick in front of the back of Versailles.
Nick is responsible for this picture which is pretty cool. This is Nick and I in the (dirty) mirrors in the Hall of Mirrors, where the treaty of Versailles was signed. The room was beautiful, and I could understand if people wanted to write their names with their fingers in the dust, but people scratched and etched their names into the mirrors too, which was not cool!
The Hall of Mirrors. Picture number three that is gorgeous and I'm quite proud of.
This was a pillar in one of the other rooms in the chateau. The rooms basically look the same but with different furniture in them. The ceilings had pictures of the heavens and greek gods, the walls had pictures of the aristocrats who once lived there. This room had a pillar in it that I thought I'd take a picture of. It smelled kind of strange in the actual chateau, I assume because they still have the original beds from the 18th century on display.
Me in front of the Assemblee Nationale.
Me in front of the obalisque that was a gift from Egypt back in the days of Napolean.
Me trying to look serious because I'm in front of the Mona Lisa in the Lourve and failing.
Me failing again, but this time in front of the Venus de Milo.
