The New York Society of Model Engineers is the oldest railroad club in America!
We are in our 77th year of operation and we celebrated our 75th
anniversary in April 2001. The society was incorporated in April 1926, but
before this the society existed as a formal group in New York City as far back as the
early 1910s. The NYSME is a founding member of the National Model Railroad
Association (NMRA) and we hold a life membership in that organization.
