I. Zeus (Jupiter): The supreme God of Olympia. The youngest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea; later on defeats his father to seize power from the Titans.
II. Hera (Juno): Goddess of marriage, and also the wife of Zeus.
III. Poseidon (Neptune): God of the sea, earthquakes and horses. Officially one of the supreme gods of Olympia.
IV. Hades (Pluto): God of the dead, and ruler of the Underworld. Also the brother of Zeus and Hades.
V. Demeter (Ceres): Goddess of agriculture; sister of Zeus and the mother of Persephone, queen of the underworld and Hades’ wife.
VI. Apollo (Apollo): God of music, prophesy and healing.
VII. Artemis (Diana): The virgin goddess of hunt; also helped women in childbirth
VIII. Athena (Minerva): Goddess of arts and warfare.
IX. Aphrodite (Venus): Goddess of beauty and sexual desire.
