My name is Garrett D. Weekley. I am an 8th grade Social Studies teacher in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Last year, my students gathered and sent a few hundred pounds of books to a school in Malawi, Africa. This year, my students gathered almost one ton of text books and reading materials to be sent to schools throughout Malawi. It was this outpouring of donations that caused me to form a nonprofit group, BOOKS 4 MALAWI. Our goal is to send as many books to as many people in the country of Malawi as humanly possible. Books for Malawi is a recognized nonprofit group in the state of Colorado and currently has federal classification pending the completion of certain tax forms. We will have tax deductible receipts ready for April 15, 2004.
