Travel Logistics:
A view out the window on the way to Dimaluo
Travel to Dimaluo is best made from Kunming.
Take the train from Kunming to Dali/Xiaguan.
From Dali/Xiaguan take the sleeper bus to Fugong ~ 11 hours.
From Fugong take another bus to Gongshan ~ 3.5 hours.
Gongshan is a 1.5 hour drive from Dimaluo.
Note: To break the trip up into more managable sections and
spend more time seeing this side of Yunnan, you can also make
the trip in this manner:
Dali/Xiaguan - Baoshan ~ 6 hours
Baoshan - Liuku ~ 6 hours
Liuku - Fugong ~ 2 Hours
Fugong - Gongshan ~ 3.5 hours
Gongshan - Dimaluo ~ 1.5 hours
All of these cities are nestled between the mountains of the Nu valley
and show a part of China even few Chinese get to see.
