After
more than two years of beta testing on P. E. I., Stargem launches its
new remote access high speed wireless internet service.
Initial
testing began in January of 2002. Since the beginning, our systems have
endured and worked well under some of the worst weather conditions we
have experienced including Hurricane Juan, the winter ice storm of March
2003 and the Major winter blizzard in February 2004.
Many
business and household clients in rural areas of the Island are now able
to access a secure and dependable high speed internet service for the
very first time.
Stargem’s high speed service operates
in Prince County in selected areas.
The
new Stargem Wireless system reaches many areas where high speed service
is unavailable over phone or cable lines. We cover areas whose fastest
option until today was dial up.
The
service is fast, reliable and effective.
